Swapna Karkare, MS is a Research Associate at CMTP. In this role, Swapna has been actively involved in a variety of projects designed to advance methods for research in the area of medical devices, as well as Comparative Effectiveness Research (CER). Currently, she is involved in a project developing a set of guiding principles to assist the researchers in identifying appropriate methods for the research questions in hand. She is also involved in a project using stakeholder engagement and other methodological innovations to design a pragmatic clinical trial in the area of osteoporosis. She was also involved in planning the 2011CER Institute. These projects require a nice blend of thorough literature review, good methodology background and stakeholder engagement. Swapna has a Master’s degree (MS) in Pharmacy Administration from the University Of Houston.
